As a member of the community himself, Mark brings both lived experience and a career built on creating social impact to his role at Spectrum Medical. His expertise lies in combining business acumen with strategic management to build sustainable, high-performing organizations that eliminate barriers to care and foster pride among both patients and staff.

At Spectrum, Mark champions a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and cultural competency; ensuring care is not only comprehensive but truly reflective of the unique needs of LGBTQ+ and HIV communities. With more than 27 years of legacy behind the organization, he is committed to carrying that mission forward with compassion and growth. Outside of work, Mark finds renewal through travel, nature, and outdoor exploration.

Dr. Howard Grossman is a nationally recognized internist and trailblazer in LGBTQIA2S+ health and HIV care. As Spectrum Medical’s Medical Director, he brings over 40 years of experience delivering compassionate, identity-affirming care. Dr. Grossman has led major clinics across the U.S., including Fenway Health in Boston, Howard Brown Health in Chicago, and the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada. He founded the first private primary care practice in New Jersey dedicated solely to LGBTQ+ patients and served as Executive Director of the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He’s also a medical educator, global HIV advocate, and published author committed to patient empowerment and healthcare equity. 

At Spectrum, Dr. Grossman leads with a deep belief in care that’s collaborative, respectful, and rooted in trust. When you see him, expect more than expertise—you’ll be seen, heard, and valued.

Efram Peller joined Spectrum Medical with a passion for building truly inclusive healthcare spaces where LGBTQ+ patients feel seen, respected, and empowered. With expertise in improving healthcare systems behind the scenes, Efram has focused their career on making care easier to access, more connected, and centered on the patient experience. Their work ensures shorter wait times, smoother coordination, and a culture of listening that places every individual at the heart of their own care.

At Spectrum Medical, Efram champions whole-person health, helping patients feel safe, valued, and supported at every step. Beyond the clinic, they recharge by hiking and biking with their family under the Arizona sun, while staying closely connected to the community that inspires their work.

Siene Garvin joined Spectrum Medical inspired by the organization’s commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusive healthcare. Passionate about creating strong financial systems behind the scenes, Siene ensures care teams can focus on delivering patient-centered services, expanding access, and supporting providers and staff.Siene believes every decision should enhance the patient experience, helping patients feel respected, supported, and empowered. She values Spectrum Medical’s comprehensive, community-focused approach, where patients can receive high-quality care without having to explain or justify who they are.Outside of work, Siene enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, staying active through HIIT classes, and walking her dog. She also engages with the community through youth sports and neighborhood activities, finding connection and balance in shared experiences.

Sheri is driven by a deep belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, affirming healthcare. Her passion lies in removing barriers that limit access, safety, and respect for the LGBTQ+ community, an advocacy that inspired her to join Spectrum Medical, where inclusion and equity are foundational to the organization’s mission.

As the Compliance Officer for Spectrum Medical Care Center, Sheri combines regulatory expertise with a strong commitment to ethical, patient-centered care. She develops programs and processes that protect patients, empower staff, and ensure the organization consistently delivers safe, high-quality, and equitable care.

In her role, Sheri helps shape the environment that influences how comfortable and supported patients feel. By creating and enforcing policies that safeguard privacy, promote accountability, and uphold integrity, she sustains a culture rooted in trust and excellence. Through comprehensive staff training, she ensures that every patient is met with consistency and confidence in their care experience.

Sheri embraces Spectrum Medical’s deep commitment to community well-being and its mission to end the HIV epidemic through compassionate, evidence-based care. The team is guided by respect, inclusion, and the belief that every LGBTQ+ individual deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, fulfilling life.

Outside of work, Sheri finds balance and renewal in nature through walking, hiking, and enjoying time outdoors. She also remains closely connected to the community through volunteer work and participation in local LGBTQ+ health initiatives, experiences that continually reinforce the importance of her work and inspire her dedication to meaningful change.

Victor E. Avila is a marketing and community relations professional dedicated to advancing inclusive healthcare and equity in access. As Spectrum Medical’s Senior Director of Marketing, he brings years of experience in community engagement, health education, and storytelling that inspires trust and action. Victor has built campaigns that elevate LGBTQIA2S+ voices and connect people to care that feels safe, affirming, and stigma-free.

His work centers on transforming how the community sees and experiences healthcare. By humanizing the message behind medicine, Victor ensures every patient feels represented before they even walk through the door. He collaborates across all departments as part of Spectrum Medical’s leadership team to ensure that information on prevention, wellness, and identity-affirming care reaches those who need it most.

At Spectrum Medical, Victor leads with empathy and creativity. His belief is simple: when communication is personalized and culturally relevant to the people it serves, individuals feel seen, understood, and empowered to take charge of their health.

Ray Delgado joined Spectrum Medical driven by a desire to be part of an organization that not only provides inclusive healthcare but also actively shows up for the LGBTQ+ community every day. The mission, the team, and the energy at Spectrum Medical resonated with him as a place where he could bring both his values and professional experience to work in a meaningful way.

As Senior Director of Communications and Community Development, Ray is passionate about community outreach and making healthcare approachable and accessible for people who have historically been overlooked or underserved. He focuses on finding innovative ways to meet people where they are; whether through community engagement, partnerships, or clear and empowering communication, helping individuals navigate care in ways that feel welcoming and judgment-free.

Ray emphasizes that Spectrum Medical is far more than a clinic; the team is deeply committed to uplifting and serving the diverse communities it supports, with efforts happening behind the scenes that reflect this dedication.

Outside of work, Ray is exploring his new home in Arizona. After living in California his entire life, he has embraced the state’s camping, hiking, and outdoor adventures as a way to recharge, discover new experiences, and connect with the community in meaningful ways.

Marcus joined Spectrum Medical inspired by the organization’s unwavering commitment to advancing inclusive, affirming healthcare for the LGBTQIA2S+ community and beyond. The mission strongly aligns with his belief that equitable access to compassionate care is a fundamental right. Being part of a team that leads with purpose, integrity, and inclusivity drives him to contribute to that vision every day.

As a human resources leader, Marcus specializes in building strong, values-driven teams and cultivating workplace cultures where every individual feels supported and respected. Through developing programs that empower staff, he helps ensure that every patient who enters Spectrum Medical receives exceptional, empathetic care.

Though his role is not patient-facing, Marcus plays a vital part in shaping the environment that allows patients to feel safe, valued, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey. By onboarding and developing mission-driven professionals, strengthening organizational culture, and upholding equitable practices, he helps sustain Spectrum’s commitment to excellence in inclusive care.

Tonya Irick is a healthcare leader dedicated to ensuring every patient feels seen, respected, and supported in their care. As Spectrum Medical’s Practice Administrator, she brings more than 15 years of experience in operations management, team leadership, and patient advocacy. Tonya’s career has been defined by her commitment to advancing equitable healthcare and building systems that uplift LGBTQ+ patients and those affected by HIV.

A proud member of the queer community, Tonya is passionate about continuing Dr. Vanig’s legacy of compassionate, inclusive care. She believes that true healthcare excellence begins with understanding each patient’s individual and community needs. At Spectrum Medical, she empowers her team to meet patients where they are, creating a space that prioritizes safety, dignity, and belonging.

When she’s not at the clinic, Tonya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, supporting local art and performance spaces, and exploring Arizona’s desert landscapes.
