    There isn’t a “right” time or reason to start HRT. It depends on your personal goals, health history, and overall comfort level. During your consultation, we’ll discuss what HRT can and can’t do, talk with you about your medical background, and work with you to decide whether HRT (or other services) align with what you’re looking to achieve. Remember: Spectrum Medical isn’t here to tell you who or how to be, only to provide quality care for you to feel at home in your body and life at your own pace.

  • What happens during a Gender-Affirming Care consultation?

    You’ll meet with one of our compassionate, trained providers to discuss your goals, history, and how HRT or other services will affect you. We’ll also talk about behavioral health resources, surgical referrals, and advocacy support. There is no pressure to start anything immediately, so even if you’re just recently considering gender-affirming care or want to learn more, booking a consultation is the first step.

  • If I don’t live in Phoenix, can I still receive Gender-Affirming Care at Spectrum Medical?

    Absolutely. We’ve had many patients transfer their gender-affirming care to Spectrum Medical after beginning HRT with another provider. We’ll review your current regimen, monitor your labs, and continue your treatment if it’s safe and aligned with your current goals.
