Phoenix Pride Recap

On October 15th and 16th, people from all over the Valley attended Phoenix Pride to support the LGBTQ+ community. An impressive crowd gathered to enjoy more than 300 entertainment performances and 100 exhibitors spanning food, shopping, and community resources.

Loud and Proud

Despite the rain on Saturday, Spectrum Medical was thrilled to provide festival-goers with t-shirts, fans, condoms, hand sanitizer, wristbands, PrEP, and HIV education. With our U.B.U. Crew on deck, we helped over 30 individuals learn their HIV status and grew our Instagram by over 40 followers.

If you didn’t get a chance to visit us at Phoenix Pride this year, you can find us at community events across Maricopa County. We offer free HIV/STI testing, sexual health education, and preventative services. We’re looking forward to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community at Phoenix Pride 2023 and hope to see you there!

From September 15 to October 15, Americans celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the contributions of generations of American citizens of Hispanic and Latin descent from Mexico, Spain, the Caribbean, and South and Central America. One of the key focuses of National Hispanic Heritage Month is fostering connection and understanding, which includes trust in healthcare.

From knowing your status to owning your status, women worldwide are defying the negative stigma around sexual health care, including care for HIV or HIV prevention. Together, we will build a world where every woman is supported, valued and cared for—with unity in care as an unwavering reality.
