A Doctor with a Passion for Inclusive Healthcare
Spectrum Medical was founded in 1997 by Dr. Thanes Vanig, our Chief Medical Officer, who recognized a significant gap in healthcare due to the shortage of providers specializing in HIV. His dedication to offering specialized care and creating an inclusive environment for everyone led to the establishment of Spectrum Medical.
As a co-founder, Dr. Vanig led Spectrum Medical to join the City of Phoenix Fast-Track Cities Initiative in 2016, a global effort to eliminate new HIV cases by 2030. Through this initiative, we provide comprehensive treatment and support for people living with HIV and work to prevent new infections through education and services like PrEP and PEP.

Beyond specialized care, we provide primary care services to help patients achieve optimal health. As a nonprofit organization, our community outreach program delivers healthcare services statewide, including HIV and STI testing, PrEP, PEP, DoxyPEP, and sexual health education.
